Day 136 (September 23, 2009)

Bernie finished welding the headers and brought them over. Jason brought the grill back and Terry dropped off the tires. 2 hours

Day 137 (September 24, 2009)

Patched the hole in the radiator. Finished fabricating the alternator brackets. Worked on wiring. Made battery and cell hold-downs. Calvin hand polished the grill. 13 hours

Day 138 (September 25, 2009)

Made new steering shaft using Neon universals. Installed radiator. Finished the wiring in the front, rewired lights and worked on wiring in rear. Drilled and bolted the grill shell. Made radiator hold down tabs. Installed the fan. Weighed the car with driver 2396lbs. with 55% rear bias and 50-50 cross weight. Finished plumbing the fuel system. 11 1/2 hours

Day 139 (September 26, 2009)

Worked on headers - shortened primary tubes and collector. Welded on ell and super trap caps. Re-drilled the flanges and lightened, reworked (2) of the center tubes. Cameron and Calvin sanded, and Paula and Dad painted the headers. Finished wiring in the trunk. Wired in the neutral safety and the Line Lock. 11 hours (649)

Day 140 (September 27, 2009)

Bolted on the headers and left valve cover. Finished fabrication of the throttle linkage. Made fifth anchor point. Made brake petal travel limiter. Sean and Aaron worked on trunk hinges and latch. Wired in the ignition box. Started the car up at 7:03 pm. It is alive! 12 hours
